Know a tradesperson who'd like this sorted?

Pass my details on and let them get in touch when they're ready. If they go ahead, I'll say thank you.

The thank you

£25 when someone you refer goes ahead with a job of £100 or more

When someone you recommend pays for their first job, I send you £25 by bank transfer. If that job is a website or job software set-up, I send £50. Recommend as many people as you like.

One thank you per new customer, and you can't recommend yourself. If you recommend me in a public post, say that you get a thank you. Leaving a review never earns one.

Eligibility and payment

How it works

  1. They get in touchThe person or business you referred contacts me themselves and mentions your name, or uses your link. I won't chase them.
  2. They go aheadOnly if it's right for them. Any paid job of £100 or more counts.
  3. You get your thank youI pay you 14 days after their first payment, as long as the job's still going ahead. I'll let you know either way.

Get your own referral link

Type your business name and your link appears straight away. Anyone who asks for a quote through it has your business filled in under “Who sent you?”, so I know who to thank.

Send the form too, so I have your phone and email to arrange your thank you.

Clients still invoicing from a notebook?

I set up job software for trade businesses, so quotes, jobs and invoices sit in one place. If they use Xero or QuickBooks Online, I test the link to it on their own account as part of the set-up, and tell them plainly what goes across. Tax stays with you.

Since 6th April 2026, sole traders and landlords with income over £50,000 have to keep digital records for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax. From 6th April 2027 that drops to over £30,000, and to over £20,000 from 6th April 2028. Clients on paper will need to change. I get the day-to-day side working so the records reach you tidy.

  1. Send them my way. Pass on the link I give you, or forward the short email below.
  2. They get a free 20-minute look. I see how they quote and invoice now, then give them a fixed price in writing.
  3. You get a one-page note. With your client's okay, I send you what was set up, where invoices go and who to ask.

No fee and no forms. I never give tax advice, and I send money questions back to you. If one of my customers needs an accountant, I'll pass your name on.

Every firm gets its own link

It looks like techphobe.com/?ref=yourfirm. Anyone who arrives through it has your firm filled in under “Who sent you?” on the enquiry form, so I know who introduced them. I only send you a note with your client’s okay.

Subject: Getting your quotes and invoices into one place

I'd like to introduce TechPhobe. TechPhobe sets up job software for trade businesses, so quotes, jobs and invoices sit in one place. You get a free 20-minute look at how you work now and give you a fixed price before anything starts. Here's the link: techphobe.com/?ref=yourfirm (ask me for your firm's own link)

TechPhobe wrote this for me to pass on. No fee is paid for this introduction.
